Families at Wirraglen are now enjoying the estate’s newly opened playground, which was completed last month and has quickly become a favourite gathering place for residents.

Designed to cater for children of varying ages, the playground features a multi-platform play tower complete with climbing play panels, a tube slide and a smaller slide ideal for younger children. A three-bay swing set adds to the fun, incorporating a toddler seat, two traditional swings and a popular basket swing, while a rope spinner provides an extra element of active play.

A large shade sail stretches over the play area, offering welcome protection from the sun and allowing children to play comfortably throughout the day. For parents and carers, a bench seat is positioned nearby, providing a clear view of the playground while children explore and play.

The parkland also includes a picnic shelter fitted with a table setting, creating a relaxed space for families to gather, share meals and spend time together. This shelter is one of two picnic facilities available within the Wirraglen parkland, reinforcing the estate’s focus on shared outdoor spaces.

Set atop a gently sloping grass hill, the playground enjoys elevated views across the green corridor at the heart of the estate. A magnificent tall gum tree stands adjacent to the play space, adding natural shade and a beautiful outlook that complements the surrounding landscape.

The new playground further enhances Wirraglen’s family-friendly appeal, providing a safe, welcoming and thoughtfully designed space where children can play, neighbours can connect, and families can enjoy the outdoors close to home.
